William Figueroa is a full time science educator and part time award winning filmmaker, animating cartoon shorts since his childhood. Originally one of the first generation of 2D animators from the Youtube era, he has since decided to focus on the local film festival circuit.

His 2018 film “Liftoff” won awards such as the 2018 Tally Shorts Kids Favorite and the 2018 1st Place Mixed Media for the Florida Animation Festival. His latest film, “La Migra”, marks the 5th consecutive film and year selected by the Tally Shorts Film Festival.
